Saturday Night Crofton Townhouse Fire
28 November 2009 - At around 10:30 pm, E281 and TK28 responded with a combined 14 personnel to a dwelling fire in the 7-16 box. First arriving crews found a middle-of-the-row townhouse with fire through the roof.
E281's crew was tasked to make entry on exposure B (adjoining townhome on left) and attack heavy fire in the attic. TK28's crew was sent to the roof to ventilate. The engine crew put a good stop on the attic fire, keeping it from extending further down the row. The truck crew opened up the roof on exposure B, then assisted with overhaul and investigation support. As E281 cleared the fire, they were sent to fill Station 7 until they cleared the incident at approximately 3:30am.
