New Board Installed and Member Recognized
12 January 2010 - The Odenton Volunteer Fire Company held its annual Installation of Officers ceremony at the January monthly company meeting. This ceremony is held to install the newly elected Board of Directors for 2010 for the Company and the Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to these installations, FF/EMT Heather Robey was presented the VFW EMT of the Year Award.
The new Board Members include the following:
- Troy Odendhal - President
- Wylie Donaldson - Vice President
- Jon Hartley - Financial Secretary
- Kimberly Jenkins - Treasurer
- Jim Allen - Recording Secretary
- Lisa Lipphard - Membership Secretary
- Mike Davis - Corresponding Secretary
- Sanjay Deskmukh - Director
- James McCartin - Director
The Odenton Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary installed their 2010 officers. They include:
- Linda Hodgson - President
- Patti Kidwell - Vice President
- Betty Slayton - Secretary
- Doris Cowen - Treasurer
- Sylvia Hammond - Chaplain
- Diane Pumphrey - Vice Chaplain
- Joan Dorsey - Color Bearer
- Angie Harper - Color Bearer
In addition, one OVFC member was recognized by Odenton Post 5172 Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Post Commander Andrew Murphy recognized Heather Robey as outstanding Emergency Medical Technician for 2009. Heather made 1027 ambulance calls and had 152 Fire responses.
