Congratulations to OVFC’s John “Jack” Hulet on receiving the Leon Hayes Excellence in EMS award from the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS).
MIEMSS presents this award to individuals who have devoted a lifetime of dedication to excellence in patient care, compassion and respect for each patient, and commitment to continuous improvement of the Maryland EMS system through his/her professional and personal life.
Jack has dedicated over 50 years of his life to Emergency Medical Services. He has taught over 2700 hrs of the Emergency Medical curriculum to both career and volunteer personnel and continues to serve as an evaluator for State practical exams. He has served as a member of the Pediatric Education Steering Committee, Co-chair of the Education Sub-Committee, and Chairman of the Provider Review Panel. He has not only excelled individually as an emergency services instructor but has served as a mentor to countless other instructors, who have benefited from his vast background and experience.
As we celebrate EMS Week 2018, it is only fitting to thank Jack for his years of dedication and service to the training community.
