OVFC President David Lewis (left) transferred more than $3,000 worth of Christmas toys to the Sharing Foundation of Anne Arundel County. These toys will go to 568 children of working needy families across Anne Arundel County who otherwise might not have a Merry Christmas. Ken Maley (right), Chairman for the Sharing Foundation said that OVFC’s donation was the largest single donation that they received, other than their partnership with the Toys for Tots Campaign.
The toys were the result of a local campaign organized by OVFC member Brandy Boulden, who collected donations from area businesses, including a $1,000 donation from Wegman’s. The campaign culminated in the Cookies and Crafts with Santa event that brought in more than 400 children and parents, and was a huge success. OVFC wishes a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
