OVFC members met former New York City Mayor Rudy Guilani and fellow firefighters from around the nation as they participated in the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Tower 5k in NYC.
The Tunnel to Tower 5k retraces the steps of one of the 343 city firefighters killed on 9/11. Stephen Siller was on his way home from work that day when he turned back around, strapped on 60 pounds of gear and ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to Ground Zero.
Odenton Volunteer Fire Company Fire and EMS operations are conducted by its members primarily in the Maryland communities of Odenton and Severn.
