Charles “Chuck” F. Lapin died on May 1, 2018. He was 68 years old.
Chuck joined the OVFC in 2012 and was a non-riding member. He helped at the annual carnival and the March and November Bull and Oyster roasts. He also helped at other events when he was needed.
Chuck was a proud graduate of Poly Technical High School in Baltimore. He went on to serve our country as a Marine in Vietnam. He later retired from Westinghouse and held various jobs around Odenton. Chuck was always quick to crack a joke and all he wanted was to bring a smile to the face of everyone he met. He enjoyed hobbies such as fishing and watching NASCAR. He also loved rock n roll music, particularly the Rolling Stones and The Who. He also loved and cared for all animals.
Chuck is survived by his adoring wife of more than 25 years, Brenda Mullis-Lapin, his loving son Frank Lapin, and his sweet cat, Sassy. Brenda is a member of the OVFC Ladies Auxiliary and Frank is a riding member of the OVFC.
Chuck is greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
